why we EXIST
Tabena Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to creating lasting, positive change in communities worldwide. We believe that every individual deserves access to quality healthcare, practical skills training, and clean water. Our mission is to empower people to build better futures for themselves and their families through sustainable development initiatives that address the root causes of poverty and inequality.
We work across four core pillars healthcare access, skills training, clean water initiatives and roots & culture, to create comprehensive solutions that transform lives. By combining immediate relief with long-term capacity building, we foster self-sufficiency and sustainable development in the communities we serve. Our commitment to empowerment means we partner with local communities, institutions and traditional leaders to ensure our programs are culturally relevant, effective, and truly transformative.

Roots & Culture Initiative
Rooted in culture and identity, we believe traditional institutions play a vital role in mobilising communities and inspiring positive change. We are dedicated to bridging heritage and development to build resilient, empowered and united communities.

Healthcare Access Programs
We provide comprehensive healthcare services and medical outreach programs to underserved communities, ensuring individuals have access to quality healthcare, preventive care, and health education to improve overall wellness and life expectancy.

Skills Training & Capacity Building
Our vocational training programs equip individuals with practical skills and knowledge needed for employment and entrepreneurship, enabling economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods that break cycles of poverty.

Clean Water Initiatives
We develop and implement water infrastructure projects that provide communities with access to safe, clean drinking water and sanitation facilities, improving public health and reducing waterborne diseases.
